Elizabeth McLaughlin is a Vancouver-based actor and coach. She coaches Dialects in the

Film & Television industry, Voice & Presentation skills for Corporate and Non Profit organizations Liz is an instructor at On-The-Mic where she teaches Dialect

classes and workshops. Privately she has coached actors in Audition Prep, Dialects,

Voice & Speech, Shakespeare and Rhetoric Liz has also worked with clients in the Legal, Educational, Medical, Non profit and PhysicalFitness businesses.

 

As a dialect coach, Liz has worked on such shows as: Riverdale, Balestra, The Good Doctor,

Little Fish, Charmed, Legends of Tomorrow, Altered Carbon, Jerusalem, Noelle, Motherland,

A Series of Unfortunate Events, Bates Motel, Man In The High Castle, The Whispers,

Liz has directed and produced a number of productions. She directed The End Of

Civilization & Adult Entertainment (Ind), Burnt By The Sun (United Players) and has been the

Assistant Director of Jesus My Boy (Pacific Theatre-Vancouver), Othello (Bard on the Beach)

and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (UBC) She was a Co-Producer of the Free Will Players (aka

The River-city Shakespeare Festival) for seven years as well as numerous Fringe productions.

 

Liz holds an MFA from the Academy for Classical Acting (ACA) at George Washington

University & the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington DC; and a BFA from York

University in Toronto.

 

She has also attended the Banff School of Fine Arts, the Alberta Ballet School.

Liz has been honoured to receive an **Unsolicited GUTHRIE AWARD for Ensemble

Production (1991) with the company of Twelfth Night at Free Will Players, directed by Kelly

Handerek and a *JESSIE nomination (1998) for Sisters at the Firehall Theatre in Vancouver.
